One minute a day. Proof, or it doesn't count.

This is for the person who has started the same habit three times and stopped believing the counter — the nurse on rotating shifts, the parent with a newborn, the student in exam week. You were never lazy; the days simply did not fit a schedule.

Pick up to three habits, do sixty seconds of each, and photograph the minute you did — so the streak you are keeping is one you can trust. A day that is genuinely impossible can be declared: your run pauses instead of breaking, up to seven days in a row.

Sixty seconds a day, and a photo to prove it

Not a plan you will start on Monday. The minute you do today is the whole requirement, and one photo is what makes the count honest — so a day that is genuinely impossible does not wipe out three good weeks.

1. Name one habit
Reading, a language drill, stretching, study, flossing — anything that fits in a minute. You choose the length: 7 days, 30, 40 or 90.
2. Do a minute. Photograph it.
The timer runs sixty seconds, then you are finished for the day. One photo each day, kept on your own phone — nothing is uploaded and we cannot see your habits.
3. The streak tells the truth
A day that is genuinely impossible can be declared with one tap, and the run pauses instead of breaking — up to seven days at a time, shown plainly in your count (“streak 12 · 2 skipped”). An undeclared miss restarts it, which is exactly why the number means something.

Honest limit: nobody checks your minute. The timer counts down and the app takes your word for it — the photo chain is the evidence, and that is what the commitment certificate counts.

What this is, before you pay anything

There are two things here: an app that makes you do one minute a day, and books that explain the thinking behind it. Any of them can be bought on its own, and the app is free to start today.

1. The app — a one-minute habit tracker
• A 60-second timer for each habit. One minute, then you are finished for the day.
• Photo proof — you photograph the minute you did. The photo stays on your own phone; nothing is uploaded.
• An honest streak — a day that is genuinely impossible can be declared, and the run pauses instead of breaking (up to seven days at a time). An undeclared miss restarts it, which is what makes the number mean something.
• A commitment certificate you set at the start, which unlocks for download once you have kept the photo chain.
• Free for up to three habits, no account and no card. The paid plans exist for one reason only: unlimited habits.
2. The book — One Minute Magic
The method written out in full: why sixty seconds beats an hour, how streaks really work and what to do on the day you fail, why the photo is what makes the count honest, and how to set a certificate you will keep. It opens on any phone, tablet or reader, and one month of the app comes with it.
3. The other book — The Silent Close
A different book for a different moment: twenty tactics for asking another person for a decision without pressure — a quote, a sale, a yes — for anyone whose week depends on someone else saying it. It is not part of the habit method; it is the other half of what Coach Daniel G writes about, and two whole chapters are free to read first.

The questions people actually ask

Answered the way we would answer them at the kitchen table.

I have stopped after four days before. Why would this time be different?
Because you are no longer being asked for thirty minutes. You are asked for sixty seconds and a photograph, and the photograph is what lets you see the days you kept instead of remembering the day you quit. How to start without failing in week one →
What happens on a day when it is genuinely impossible?
You declare it with one tap and the run pauses instead of breaking — up to seven days in a row, shown in your own count. An undeclared miss restarts the streak, which is the only reason the number is worth anything. Streaks, skip days, and what honesty costs →
Does anyone look at my photographs?
No. The photo stays on your own phone. We cannot see your habits, your photographs or what you wrote on them, and there is nothing on our side to leak. How the photo proof works →
Do I have to create an account, or give a card?
Not to start. Three habits run from the browser with no account and no card; a free place adds unlimited habits and the ebook for a year. A card only ever appears when you choose to buy something. Start in one minute, no account →
What is a commitment certificate?
A dated record of the run you kept, made to be shown to one person — a spouse, a coach, a small group — because a promise made in front of someone else is kept more often than one made in private. What the certificate counts →
I work shifts. My weeks are not tidy.
Then a fixed hour of the day will never fit you. The app asks for one minute somewhere in the day, and the skip days are there for the nights that swallow the whole day. Running it on an irregular week →

The rest is written out in the eight guides — how the one-minute rule works, how streaks age, what to do after a missed day, and how to run this with another person. No email needed to read any of them.

The books

Both written by Coach Daniel G. One payment each, no renewal, emailed to you as an EPUB that opens on any phone, tablet or reader.

The Silent Close — US$19.90 one payment
The twenty tactics for closing without pressure — for anyone who has to ask another person for a decision. Emailed to you, with one month of the app. It is also included free if you take the one-year app + book plan at US$25.90. Read two free chapters: Strategic Generosity and Self-Image Disruption →
One Minute Magic — US$12.90 one payment
The book behind the app: the whole method, one minute a day. Bought from the plan list above, with one month of the app.

A book is emailed to the address you pay with, usually within a minute — and if it has not arrived, reply to hello@oneminutemagic.app and a person fixes it. No card is kept on file and nothing renews.
